Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy is "the therapeutic use of purposeful occupation."

Anna trained initially at St. Loyes School of Occupational Therapy, Exeter, Devon qualifying in 1982. She updated her training at Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh obtaining her Bachelor of Science in 2002.

She has worked extensively for the NHS in physical community rehabilitation working with both adults and children and has worked as a private consultant to Social Services.

Anna has worked in many psychiatric settings including day hospitals and community mental health teams where she developed her skill as an Occupational Therapist specialising in stress management, relaxation (including assertion, body language, communication skills) life skills such as domestic and financial independence and creative skills used therapeutically e.g. pottery and art.

Anna is a consultant clinical supervisor and mentor within her own profession and has recently created her "Therapy for Therapists" package, which is also suitable for other disciplines.

Anna has now transferred these vital skills to work with the general public and corporate world.
